A Troy woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims struck her vehicle.
Deanna Duke claims she was driving on Collinsville Road in Madison County on July 22, 2009, when defendant Elizabeth Spotanski struck her vehicle.
Because of the collision, Duke incurred medical costs and suffered severe pain, according to the complaint filed July 22 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Spotanski negligently failed to keep her vehicle under proper control, failed to keep a proper lookout, drove too fast and failed to stay within a single lane, the suit states.
In her complaint, Duke is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Paul T. Slocomb and Matthew E. Hoffman of St. Louis will be representing her.
Madison County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-724.
