The parties in a personal injury suit stemming from an accident in Worden have pushed off a trial that had been set to open today.
Plaintiff Crystal Wiegand and defendant Chelsea Griffing asked to continue the June 13 trial in a motion filed June 10.
The motion does not state the reason the pair asked to have the trial pushed off.
Wiegand is suing Griffing for damages in excess of $50,000 and other relief.
Wiegand claims she was injured in December 2006 when Griffing caused an accident by allegedly stopping her vehicle on a highway and failing to have proper working tail lights.
The suit was consolidated with a later suit filed by Tera Wiegand.
It is unclear what relationship exists between the two Wiegands from the case file.
Matthew Marlin represents Crystal Wiegand with Stephen Mudge acting as co-counsel.
Matthew Glenn represents Griffing.
Del Goldenhersh represents Tera Wiegand.
Madison County Chief Judge Ann Callis presides.
No new trial date has been set as yet according to the case's docket sheet.
