Club Plush patron claims security guards twisted her arm

A St. Clair County woman is suing the owner of a night club after one of the security guards allegedly twisted her arm during a fight.

Susan Harris filed the lawsuit May 13 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Metro Investment Group Inc., doing business as Club Plush and Plush Night Club.

According to the complaint, Harris was in Club Plush in May 2010 when an altercation broke out near her. She says during the fight a security guard allegedly grabbed her arm and roughly twisted it.

Harris claims the East St. Louis bar and its owners were negligent for allowing into the bar the people who were fighting. She also alleges the security staff was not properly trained.

Harris is asking for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court fees.

She is represented by attorney Ronald J. Foster Jr., of East St. Louis. They ask for a jury trial.
