A Madison County woman is suing the driver of a car that allegedly rear-ended her in Maryville.
Kelly J. Berdick filed the lawsuit against Merry C. Rhoades April 29 in Madison County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, Berdick was waiting to turn left from Illinois Route 162 into the Anderson Hospital Pediatric Rehabilitation parking lot in May 2009. While still stopped, Berdick says Rhoades crashed her car into the back of the stopped Pontiac.
Berdick accuses Rhoades of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court costs.
Berdick is represented by attorney John B. Raffaelle of Collinsville.
