The parties in a suit over STD results allegedly revealed as part of the drama of a love triangle have filed a number of motions under seal.
Plaintiff Jane Doe filed a motion for sanctions, a motion to quash her deposition, a motion to hold in contempt and a motion for leave to file her first amended complaint on April 21.
The defendants in the suit then filed their responses to those moves also under seal May 16 while Madison County Circuit Judge William Mudge has some matters under advisement.
The case's docket sheet does not indicate whether the responsive motions filed Monday were filed by defendant Quest Diagnostics Inc. or defendant Maureen Sackmann.
Doe is suing Quest and Sackmann over what she claims was the revelation of her positive herpes test results by Sackmann, a romantic rival for the affections of another party to the case, John Doe.
Doe has sued Sackmann and Quest, her former employer, for damages in excess of $350,000, attorney's fees and other relief.
According to the complaint, Sackmann and Doe were both seeing John Doe while Sackmann was a Quest employee.
The plaintiff alleges Sackmann then revealed the plaintiff's test results to John Doe.
The defendants deny the claims.
Sackmann has also moved to enter a third party complaint against John Doe.
A protective order has been in place in the suit since last year.
Jane Doe asked for and was granted the protective order after local new outlets including the Madison County Record and St. Louis television states began covering the case.
Michael Schwade represents Sackmann.
Emily Johnson represents Jane Doe.
L. Allison McKeel represents Quest.
The case is Madison case number 10-L-101.
