A former employee claims he was fired from a Madison County transport company as retaliation for filing an injury claim.
Nathen Householder filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Star Transport April 28 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Householder says he worked for Star Transport and was responsible for multiple tasks including driving and lifting and moving heavy items. He says he was injured on the job and filed a workers' compensation claim.
Householder says he was fired by Star Transport in September 2007. He contends the termination was in retaliation for filing the compensation request.
Householder is asking to be paid more than $50,000 in damages to compensate for wages, benefits and seniority lost when his employment was terminated.
