Centreville woman sues over rear-end accident

A Centreville woman is suing the driver of the car she was riding in and the driver of the car that allegedly crashed into them.

Alberta L. Wilson filed a lawsuit April 13 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Kennetta R. Harris and Nundi M. Vaughn.

Wilson says she was a passenger in a car being driven by Harris in May 2009. As they were stopped in traffic on Industrial Parkway, Wilson claims Vaughn rear-ended the vehicle.

Wilson accuses both drivers of negligence for failing to take necessary actions to avoid the collission. She is asking the Court to award her more than $100,000 in damages for medical costs, lost wages and court fees.

Wilson is represented by attorneys Mark C. Scoggins and Anthony P. Gilbreth, of Columbia.
