Mudge set to hold pre-trial in Choteau Township car accident case Wednesday

Mudge

Madison County Circuit Judge William Mudge is scheduled to hold a pre-trial conference in a suit brought over a 2009 Chouteau Township car accident.

Plaintiff Michael Steinway is suing Jason White for damages in excess of $50,000.

The pre-trial, set May 12 at 9 a.m., comes in the days leading up to the suit's scheduled May 16 trial.

According to his complaint, Steinway alleges White ran a stop sign in Chouteau Township, hit Steinway's vehicle, and caused him to suffer injuries including a fractured skull.

Steinway had moved for a default judgment in the 2009 suit in January 2010.

However, that move was denied.

John Hustava represents Steinway.

John Cunningham represents White.

The case was previously assigned to Madison County Circuit Judge Barbara Crowder.

Mudge set the final pre-trial and trial dates May 2.

The case is Madison case number 09-L-348.
