ST. LOUIS - Ryan J. McCarty has joined Gallop, Johnson & Neuman, L.C. as an associate in the Business Litigation Department as the firm's business litigation services continue to expand.
In addition to general business and commercial litigation, McCarty has extensive experience in banking, financial services, and credit-related litigation. He has defended numerous banking institutions facing claims brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Truth in Lending Act, and the related common law claims associated with these actions. McCarty also has significant experience in product liability suits, class actions, commercial transactions, landlord-tenant, and general commercial litigation.
Glenn Davis, chair of the litigation practice, remarked: "We welcome Ryan to our growing, sophisticated team of trial lawyers. Ryan is an experienced and energetic lawyer with great large firm experience we can offer as part of our commitment to value for our clients. In an era of reductions for many firms, we are selectively supplementing our value services platform with key additions like Ryan."
Gallop's business litigation practice is one of more than 30 practice areas at the firm. Its attorneys serve as national and regional counsel for U.S. and multi-national corporations in corporate, product liability, mass tort and other forms of litigation. Gallop's business litigation practice also serves many small and mid-sized companies, as well as corporate directors and officers in matters large and small. The group is strategically designed to meet or exceed the value principles of the American Corporate Counsel Association.
McCarty earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law after graduating with a B.A. from Bucknell University. He has practiced before numerous state courts in Missouri and Illinois, as well as federal courts in the Eastern District of Missouri, Western District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois.
