A St. Clair County man is accused of causing a car crash that killed his passenger.
Gloria and David Glauber, on behalf of their deceased daughter, Adrienne Glauber, filed a lawsuit against Taylor Fehrenz March 10 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, Adrienne Glauber was a passenger in a car being driven by Fehrenz in October 2010. The Glaubers say Fehrenz was driving south on Admiral Parkway when he came to the intersection of Eagle Drive in Columbia.
Fehrenz allegedly tried to turn left and claims his traffic light was green. However, Edward Clark was driving north on Admiral Parkway and, as he approached Eagle Drive, says his traffic light was also green.
The Glaubers claim Fehrenz failed to yield and turned left in front of Clark, causing the crash. They accuse Fehrenz of negligence and are suing him for the wrongful death of their daughter. The Glaubers are asking for more than $100,000 in damages plus court costs.
The Glaubers are represented by attorney William P. Gavin of Belleville.
