A bank claims a Bethalto man has failed to repay it more than $60,000.
Citibank filed a lawsuit March 23 in Madison County Circuit Court against Mark D. Blasa.
Citibank claims it issued Blasa a promissory note, but he has since failed to make payments on it.
"There remains a balance resulting from Defendant's default on the promissory note in the amount of $66,889.02, which includes the unpaid principal amount plus any accrued charges and interest," the suit states.
In addition to the money it says Blasa owes it, Citibank seeks costs.
Adolfo Brandon Sanchez of Blatt, Hasenmiller, Lelbaker and Moore in Normal will be representing it.
