A Belleville woman wants more than $50,000 from a woman she says ran a stop sign and crashed into her.
Angela M. Downard filed a lawsuit Feb. 11 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Donna D. Jerome.
Downard says she was driving south on North 17th Street in Belleville in February 2009. As she approached West Belle, Downard claims Jerome, driving west on West Belle, failed to stop at the stop sign and crashed into her.
Downard accuses Jerome of negligence and asks for at least $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court costs. She is represented by attorney Robert G. Jones of Belleville.
