A St. Clair County man is accused of failing to pay back a loan of nearly $95,000.
Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. filed a lawsuit Feb. 11 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Van T. Mizak.
According to the complaint, Mizak borrowed money from Wells Fargo with the agreement to make payments until the loan was paid back in full. Wells Fargo alleges Mizak defaulted on the loan with a remaining balance of almost $95,000.
The bank also says Mizak is liable for the loan since he did not deny it was his and made partial payments toward it.
Wells Fargo asks to be repaid the nearly $95,000, plus the costs of the lawsuit.The law firm of Heller and Frisone in Chicago is representing the lender.
