Shiloh rear-end accident is subject of suit

A Highland man is suing the driver of a car he says is responsible for a rear-end crash in Shiloh.

Fabian Hobbs filed a lawsuit Jan 31. in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Clifford Peterson.

According to the complaint, Hobbs says he was stopped for a red light at the intersection Route 161 at Route 158 in Shiloh in May 2009. As Hobbs was about to turn right, Peterson allegedly ran into the back of him. Hobbs says he hurt his neck and back in the crash.

Hobbs accuses Peterson of negligence and asks for at least $50,000 in damages for medical costs, loss of income and court fees.

Attorney James R. Williams of Belleville is representing Hobbs.
