A construction worker claims a subcontractor is to blame for injuries he allegedly received when he was hit by a ladder on the job site.
Andre S. Spencer filed a lawsuit against Bam Contracting Dec. 1 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
The alleged injury happened in October 2010. Spencer says he was working for Johnson Contracting as a cement finisher foreman on a job in East St. Louis. It was on the job, Spencer alleges, that he was hit by a falling aluminum ladder allegedly left unsecured by an employee of another subcontractor, Bam Contracting.
Spencer is asking Bam to pay more than $50,000 for medical costs, lost wages and court fees. He is represented by attorney Brad L. Badgley of Belleville.
