A man claims he sustained injuries after a driver struck him when she failed to stop a stop sign.
Bryant K. Johnson filed a lawsuit Dec. 1 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Joyce S. Roberts.
Johnson claims he drove south on Hartman Lane near its intersection with Haverford Drive in Shiloh on Oct. 11 when Roberts, who drove west at the same intersection, collided with his vehicle.
In addition to his injuries, Johnson suffered pain and permanent disability and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint.
He blames Roberts for causing the collision, saying she negligently failed to yield the right-of-way, failed to stop for a stop sign, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to stop or slow down to avoid a collision.
In his complaint, Johnson seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Brad L. Badgley of Belleville will be representing him.
