A Madison County woman is suing the driver of a van that crashed into her after allegedly running a red light on a Granite City road.
Courtney Belfor filed the complaint against Karen Davis Dec. 2 in Madison County Circuit Court.
According to the lawsuit, Belfor was driving her Chevrolet Cavalier north on Maryville Road near the intersection of Pontoon Road. As she approached the intersection, Belfor says Davis, driving her Chevrolet van east on Pontoon Road, failed to stop and crashed into her.
Belfor is suing Davis for negligence and asking for more than $50,000 to pay for damage to her car, lost wages, medical bills and court costs.
Attorney Kevin Boyne of Belleville is representing Belfor.
