A personal injury suit filed by Belleville attorney Robert Sprague and his wife, St. Clair County Recorder of Deeds Patty Sprague, will be in court Thursday for a status conference.
The Spragues are suing Adriano Silva, the driver whom they claim ran a stop sign last year, hitting their car and injuring them.
Silva claims that his brakes were defective and did not work when he tried to brake at the sign.
While Silva does not deny hitting the Spragues, he denies running the stop sign.
The Spragues are seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and costs.
The status conference was moved in September to tomorrow's 9:30 a.m. start time.
St. Clair County Circuit Judge Robert LeChien presides.
The case is St. Clair case number 09-L-561.
