A Madison County mother is suing the driver she says caused the Collinsville crash that injured her two children.
Randa Belba, herself, and on behalf of her two children, filed the lawsuit against Shelly Porter Nov. 22 in Madison County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, Heaven and Joshua Hyman were passengers in a car being driven by Charlene Hyman in August 2009. The three were driving westbound on Morrison Street in Collinsville when Porter allegedly pulled out of the high school parking lot and crashed into them.
Belba accuses Porter of negligence and is asking for more than $150,000 in damages along with court costs.
Attorney James E. Gorman of Edwardsville is representing Belba.
