A status conference is set Dec. 9 in a personal suit filed by St. Clair County Recorder of Deeds Patty Sprague and her attorney husband, Robert Sprague.
The Spragues are suing Adriano Silva for allegedly running a stop sign at a Belleville intersection hitting the Spragues' car.
Both Patty and Robert Sprague claim to have been injured in the 2009 accident.
The suit seeks damages in excess of $50,000 and costs.
Silva denies that he ran the stop, citing a brake defect.
St. Clair County Circuit Judge Robert LeChien presides.
Robert Sprague represents himself and his wife.
Martin Clay represents Silva.
The case is St. Clair case number 09-L-561.
