A customer is suing a fast food seafood chain after allegedly falling on his way into the Granite City restaurant.
Joseph Randazzo filed the suit against Treasure Isles Inc., doing business as Long John Silver's, and Long John Silver's Inc. on Oct. 22 in Madison County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, Randazzo visited the Long John Silver's in Granite City in October 2008. The complaint does not detail what happened to Randazzo while he was at the restaurant but does accuse Long John Silver's of failing to build and maintain safe ramps and walkways leading up the entryway.
Randazzo says the defendants' negligence caused him to fall outside the entrance to Long John Silver's, causing him severe and permanent injuries. Randazzo says he has suffered pain and anguish and has been unable to attend to his normal duties. He is asking both defendants to pay more than $50,000 in damages.
Attorney Kenneth Beljanski of Brown & Brown in Fairview Heights is representing Randazzo.
