A Macoupin County resident claims she suffered extensive back injuries when a driver failed to stay in his lane and struck her vehicle.
Jana M. Hassebrock filed a lawsuit Oct. 28 in Madison County District Court against Tauseef Ahmed Mohammed.
Hassebrock claims she drove south on Lewis Road on Dec. 8, 2008, when Mohammed entered her lane, causing a collision.
In addition to her back injuries, Hassebrock suffered great physical pain, experienced an impaired function of her body, incurred medical costs and lost wages and her enjoyment of life, according to the complaint.
She blames Mohammed for causing the collision, saying he negligently drove too fast, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to warn of his impending approach and failed to reduce his speed to avoid a collision.
In her complaint, Hassebrock seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Julia M. Kerr of Brown and Crouppen in St. Louis will be representing him.
