A case management conference is set in a suit filed by the state of Illinois over injuries a Department of Natural Resources officer suffered when he was hit by two ATV riders at Cahokia Mounds.

The conference had been set in September but was pushed off at the request of the state's Department of Central Management Services in order to give the state more time to investigate defendants Eric Robinson and Megan Wieseman's insurance statuses.

The next conference is set to begin Nov. 8 at 9:30 a.m. before St. Clair County Circuit Judge Patrick Young.

The state is suing the defendants for more than $137,000 in damages that it claims it had to pay DNR Officer William Wichern after the pair hit him in June 2008 while riding illegally through the mounds historical site.

Deborah Sterling Scott represents the state.

No attorneys are listed for the defendants.

Wieseman and Robinson appeared pro se at the last
hearing in the case.

The case is St. Clair case number 10-L-294.
