A surety company is asking a Madison County court to recognize and enforce a $5 million judgment issued earlier this year in Pennsylvania.
According to the case filed Oct. 15 in Madison County Circuit Court, First Sealord Surety Inc. was awarded the foreign settlement against H2K Construction LLC, Harold E. Hart Jr., Terri A. Hart, Anne L. Kane and Timothy A. Kane.
The Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County, Pa. issued the judgment in March. First Sealord Surety contends the $5 million settlement has not been satisfied by the defendants.
First Sealord Surety is asking a Madison County judge to recognize the judgment without retrying the case.
