A company claims it is owed more than $60,000 from the owners of a $39,000 promissory note who defaulted on their payments.
Sage Creek Development claims defendants Kevin L. Sievers and Niccol Development Company executed a promissory note for $39,950 on Aug. 3, 2005, in Madison County.
However, since then, the defendants have defaulted on their payments and owe Sage Creek $64,122.97, according to the complaint filed Oct. 8 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Although Sage Creek has demanded payment, it has yet to receive any of the money it requested, the suit states.
In addition to the money it says it is owed, Sage Creek is seeking pre-judgment interest, attorney's fees and costs.
David L. Antognoli of Goldenberg, Heller, Antognoli and Rowland in Edwardsville will be representing it.
