A rear end accident case set for trial Monday has settled.
Details of the settlement between plaintiff Robert Yannie and defendant David Edwards were not available in the case file beyond that each man will bear his own costs.
Yannie filed suit last year against Edwards claiming that he was injured when Edwards rear-ended him on I-270 in St. Louis County.
The plaintiff sought damages in excess of $50,000.
The trial was set to begin at 9 a.m. before Madison County Circuit Judge Daniel Stack.
The parties settled Oct. 4.
According to the settlement document, the counts against Edwards are dismissed with prejudice.
Madison County Circuit Judge Barbara Crowder formerly oversaw the case.
David Damick represented the plaintiff.
Daniel Bradley represented the defendant.
The case is Madison case number 09-L-708.
