Legal malpractice case over allegedly botched work comp cases up for CMC

A case management conference is set in a legal malpractice suit against the St. Louis law firm of Kuehnlein and Kuehnlein.

Plaintiff Ronald Dahl Jr. claims that attorney Christopher Kuehnlein and his firm botched settlements of two related workers' compensation cases depriving him of settlement monies.

The defendants deny the claims.

The conference is set for Oct. 27 at 9 a.m.

Dahl Jr. is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and costs.

According to his complaint, the defendants failed to link two related workers' compensation cases.

One of those cases against Sears settled in 2008, netting Dahl Jr. about $3,000.

The plaintiff claims that but for attorneys' negligence, he could have gotten more.

A trial in the case had been set earlier this year but was pushed off.

Madison County Circuit Judge Andreas Matoesian presides.

Michael Brunton represents Dahl Jr.

Robert Wuller represents the defendants.

The case is Madison case number 08-L-374.
