A Collinsville woman is suing the driver she says rear-ended her on the same street on which she lives.

Kathy P. Pisetta lives along North Keebler Road. She says she was driving north down the road on May 11, 2009, when James R. Devall crashed his vehicle into the back of her car.

In a lawsuit filed Sept. 30 in Madison County Circuit Court, Pisetta accuses Devall of causing the rear-end crash by failing to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles and failing to slow down to avoid the collision.

Pisetta claims the two vehicles "violently collided," causing injuries to her neck, back and hip. She is asking to be awarded more than $50,000 in damages to cover past and future medical expenses.
