The parties in a personal injury suit filed by attorney Robert Sprague and his wife, St. Clair County Recorder of Deeds Patty Sprague, have reset a status conference.
The Sept. 2 hearing was continued by agreement until Dec. 9 at 9:30 a.m.
The Spragues are suing Adriano Silva for injuring them when his car allegedly ran a stop sign in Belleville last year and hit the Spragues' vehicle.
Silva denies that he was negligent and cites a defect with his brakes that he was unaware of at the time of the accident.
The suit seeks damages in excess of $50,000.
Robert Sprague represents himself and his wife.
Martin Clay represents Silva.
St. Clair County Circuit Judge Robert LeChien presides.
The case is St. Clair case number 09-L-561.
