A man claims he suffered back injuries when he was hit in his car by a driver traveling southbound at the off ramp of Interstate 64 onto Route 4 in Mascoutah.
Anthony D. Wills filed a lawsuit Sept. 8 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Christina Krewinghaus.
Willis says he had stopped at the ramp exiting I-64 when a car driven by Krewinghaus failed to stop and collided with his vehicle. The complaint says the driver lost control of her vehicle and struck the side of Wills' car. The plaintiff alleges she failed to adequately apply her brakes and was speeding excessively for road conditions.
Willis says he sustained injuries to his shoulder and lumbar areas affecting muscles, ligaments and nerves. He says he required medical care and has been disabled by the collision. He claims lost wages and loss of future earnings.
Wills is seeking $50,000, plus costs in his complaint.
Thomas C. Rich of the Thomas Rich Law Firm will represent Wills.
