10 new asbestos cases filed in Madison County Aug. 9-13

A total of 10 new asbestos complaints have been filed in Madison County Circuit Court during the week of Aug. 9 through Aug. 13.
The following complaints have been filed:

--Richard D. Bloss of Missouri, a mechanic, gas station attendant and boilermaker at various locations from 1953 until 1981, claims lung cancer. Bloss will be represented by W. Brent Copple and Myles L. Epperson of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-844.

--William and Carolyn Boughman of Indiana allege William Boughman developed mesothelioma after his work as a laborer, mechanic, truck driver and operator at various locations from 1959 until 2000. The Boughmans will be represented by Shane F. Hampton and Paul M. Dix of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-830.

--Donald Frantz of Iowa, a construction laborer, maintenance mechanic, welder, laborer and installer at various locations from 1958 until 2008, claims mesothelioma. Frantz will be represented by Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-845.

--Iona Frost of Washington, a worker at a laundry mat from 1952 until 1962, claims mesothelioma. Frost was also secondarily exposed to asbestos fibers through her ex-husband, Donald Hamilton, who worked as a laborer at Seattle Hardware Company from 1952 until 1968, and through her second husband, Jim Frost, who worked as a salesman at hardware companies from 1968 until 1990, according to the complaint. Iona Frost will be represented by Stephanie A. Lyons of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-843.

--Donald J. Gongol of Iowa, a laborer, salesman and greeter from 1947 until 2009, claims mesothelioma. Gongol will be represented by Myles L. Epperson of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-839.

--Sydney Kotalik of Florida, a seaman and cook in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1946 until 1952, a carpenter in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 until 1958 and a fireman and laborer from 1961 until 1979, claims mesothelioma. Kotalik will be represented by Robert Phillips and Perry J. Browder of SimmonsCooper in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-840.

--John Kuhlo claims his recently deceased father, Stanley C. Kuhlo, developed mesothelioma after his work as a laborer from 1941 until 2005. John Kuhlo will be represented by Andrew O'Brien, Christopher Thoron, Christina J. Nielson, Bartholomew J. Baumstark and Gerald J. FitzGerald of O'Brien Law Firm in St. Louis. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-829.

--Susan Lineen-Prizio of Massachusetts claims her recently deceased father, Richard J. Lineen, developed mesothelioma after his work as a welder and pipefitter from 1962 until 1979. Lineen-Prizio will be represented by Robert Phillips and Perry J. Browder of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-832.

--Charlotte Neumann of Wisconsin claims her recently deceased husband, Paul Neumann, developed mesothelioma after his work as a sheet metal worker at various locations from 1958 until 1990. Charlotte Neumann will be represented by Randy S. Cohn of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-831.

--Sydney A. Rose of Iowa claims her recently deceased husband, Clarence A. Rose, developed mesothelioma after his work as a boilertender in the U.S. Navy from 1951 until 1955, as a boilermaker at General Services Administration from 1956 until 1986, as a shadetree mechanic in Missouri from 1956 until 1976 and as a drywaller and home remodeler from 1956 until 1977. Sydney A. Rose will be represented by Randy L. Gori of Gori, Julian and Associates in Edwardsville. W. Mark Lanier, Patrick N. Haines, W. Casey Harris and M.
