A case management conference is set next week in a suit brought against the city of Wood River by a former real estate developer.
Rick Jones is suing Wood River for allegedly failing to live up to its end of a land bargain.
Wood River claims Jones did not live up to his end of the bargain.
The conference is set at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 25.
In his suit, Jones claims Wood River did not fulfill the terms of a
contract it made with him that involved land for a water tower.
Jones suit seeks damages of at least $50,000 and costs.
The suit is one of a pair of breach of contract suits filed last year by Jones, who is currently serving a 15 month term in prison on federal tax evasion charges.
Jones is represented by Robert Bassett.
The city is represented by Daniel Nester.
Madison County Circuit Judge David Hylla presides.
The case is Madison case number 09-L-641.
