21 new asbestos cases filed in Madison County June 14-20

A total of 21 new asbestos lawsuits were filed in Madison County Circuit Court during the week of June 14 through June 20.

The following complaints were filed:

--Thomas E. Bagsby of Illinois, a machinist and maintenance worker at the Venice, Illinois, Powerhouse from 1954 until 1979, claims lung cancer. Bagsby will be represented by Andrew O'Brien, Christopher Thoron, Christina J. Nielson, Bartholomew J. Baumstark and Gerald J. FitzGerald of the O'Brien Law Firm in St. Louis. --Glendon Bane of Washington, a merchant marine and electrician from 1944 until 1986, claims mesothelioma. Bane will be represented by Brian J. Cooke of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-639.

--Donald Bauer of Texas, a maintenance worker, lineboy gassing airplanes and welder/fabricator from 1959 until 1992, claims mesothelioma. Bauer will be represented by G. Michael Stewart of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-620.

--Joseph Davis Jr. of Louisiana, a carpenter at various locations from 1965 until 1979, claims lung cancer. Davis will be represented by Robert Phillips and Perry J. Browder of SimmonsCooper in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-627.

--Rosita Dvorscak of Indiana, a laborer and janitor at various locations from 1942 until 1990, claims mesothelioma. Dvorscak will be represented by Brian J. Cooke of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Anglides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-642.

--Nekeidra Ellis of Georgia claims her recently deceased grandmother, Ellen Carpenter, developed lung cancer after her work as a carpenter from 1973 until 1979. Ellis will be represented by Robert Phillips and Perry J. Browder of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-621.

--Juanita Evans of Illinois claims her recently deceased husband, Dwight Evans, developed mesothelioma after his work as a cook and baker in the U.S. Navy from 1948 until 1952, as a bricklayer out of Belleville Local 2 from 1952 until 1977 and as an owner of Carlyle Masonry beginning in 1976. Dwight Evans was also secondarily exposed to asbestos fibers through his son, who worked at Rockwell International , and through his wife, who worked at General Electric, according to the complaint. Juanita Evans will be represented by Randy L. Gori and Barry Julian of Gori, Julian and Associates in Edwardsville. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-648.

--Claudine B. Hope of South Carolina claims her recently deceased husband, William L. Hope, developed mesothelioma after his work as an insulator at North Brothers from 1945 until 1951, as a branch manager at North Brothers from 1951 until 1972 and as an area vice president in 1972. William L. Hope also worked for International Paper Company in 1948, according to the complaint. Claudine B. Hope will be represented by Elizabeth V. --Rebecca Guerrero Jaramillio of Arizona claims the recently deceased Phillip B. Jaramillio developed mesothelioma after his work as a member of the U.S. Army from 1943 until 1945, as farmer and laborer in Arizona from 1945 until 1953, as a garbage truck driver in Arizona from 1956 until 1972 and as a maintenance man and construction worker in Arizona from 1972 until 1984. Rebecca Jaramillio will be represented by Richard L. Saville Jr. and Ethan A. Flint of Saville and Flint in Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-647.

--Ellen Kosch of Wisconsin claims her recently deceased husband, Richard Kosch, developed mesothelioma after his work as a boiler tender, custodian, meter reader and maintenance and grounds supervisor at various locations from 1951 until 1997. Ellen Kosch will be represented by Randy S. Cohn and Sean M. Keane of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-643.

--Robert T. and Judith Mooney of Illinois claim Robert T. Mooney developed pleural plaques after his work as a burner torch helper, radial drill, mill, assembler and engine tester, utilities helper and utilities operator at Caterpillar from 1964 until 1994. The Mooneys will be represented by Elizabeth V. Heller and Robert Rowland of Goldenberg, Heller, Antognoli and Rowland in Edwardsville. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-623.

--Lornalee Rapinchuk of Illinois, a clerk, production line worker and home health assistant at various locations from 1954 until 1985, claims mesothelioma. Rapinchuk was also secondarily exposed to asbestos fibers through her father, Thomas Manz, who worked as a construction worker and painter; through her brother, Charles Manz, who worked as a painter; and through her husband, Thomas G. Rapinchuk, who worked as a sheet metal worker, press operator, draftsman and engineering detailer from 1955 until 1995, according to the complaint. Rapinchuk will be represented by W. Brent Copple and Myles L. Epperson of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-625.

--Douglas L. and Gwenetta E. Robinson of Illinois claim Douglas E. Robinson developed pleural plaques after his work as a laborer at Scott Air Force Base from 1964 until 1966, as a hand router from 1966 until 1968, as a machinist at Mitchell Manufacturing from 1968 until 1970, as a dump truck driver for Paramount Hauling from 1970 until 1975 and as a wire drawer for Laclede Steel Company from 1975 until 2002. The Robinsons will be represented by Elizabeth V. Heller and Robert Rowland of Goldenberg, Heller, Antognoli and Rowland in Edwardsville. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-631.

--Linda Roland-Henderson of Ohio claims her recently deceased husband, Louie Henderson Sr., developed lung cancer after his work as a laborer at various locations from 1970 until 1979. Roland-Henderson will be represented by Robert Phillips and Perry J. Browder of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-626.

--Martha Sanchez of Arizona claims her recently deceased husband, Frank Sanchez, developed mesothelioma after his work as a forklift driver, laborer and builder from 1978 until 2007. Martha Sanchez will be represented by Richard L. Saville Jr. and Ethan A. Flint of Saville and Flint in Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-640.

--William and Carol Schober of Iowa claim William Schober developed mesothelioma after his work as a laborer and punch press operator, motorsports owner and operator and physical therapist at various locations throughout Illinois, Iowa and Florida from 1949 until 2009. The Schobers will be represented by Timothy F. Thompson Jr. of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-646.

--Lillard Steele of Ohio, a laborer at various locations from 1967 until 1979, claims lung cancer. Steele will be represented by Robert Phillips and Perry J. Browder of SimmonsCooper in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-624.

--Shirley Stultz of Indiana claims her recently deceased husband, Ronald Stultz, developed mesothelioma after his work as a machine operator, mechanic, laborer and welder at various locations from 1953 until 1999. Shirley Stultz will be represented by John P. Wagner of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd. Madison County District Court case number: 10-L-629.

--Bernard Thurman of Oregon, an electrician at various locations from 1952 until 1995, claims mesothelioma. Thurman will be represented by Randy S. Cohn of Simmons, Browder, Gianaris, Angelides and Barnerd in East Alton. Madison County District Court case number: 10-L-638.

--Larry Urish of Illinois, a chemical operator, maintenance pipefitter, welder and oiler at various locations from 1962 until 1998, claims lung cancer. Urish will be represented by Christopher R. --Gary Vogel of Kentucky claims the recently deceased John Vogel developed mesothelioma after his work at Sidney Kline from 1940 until 1941, at Clark Electric from 1941 until 1943, as a member of the U.S. Navy from 1943 until 1945, as a member of the Naval Ordinance from 1946 until 1976, at Beam and Colville Realtors from the late 1970s until the mid 1980s and at Al Vogel Constructing from the mid 1980s to the late 1980s. Vogel will be represented by Richard L. Saville Jr., Ethan A. Flint and D. Todd Mathews of Saville and Flint in Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-628.
