A woman claims a driver failed to yield the right-of-way at an intersection, causing a collision.
Donna J. Goeller filed a lawsuit July 27 in Madison County Circuit Court against Michael D. Hubbard.
Goeller claims she drove east on West Pontoon Road near its intersection with Briarcliff Road in Pontoon Beach on Sept. 5, 2008, when Hubbard, who drove north on Briarcliff, struck her vehicle.
Because of the collision, Goeller sustained serious and permanent injuries, lost wages and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint.
She blames Hubbard for causing the collision, saying he negligently failed to yield the right-of-way, failed to observe Goeller as she approached the intersection, failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles and failed to stop his vehicle from entering a lane she occupied.
In her complaint, Goeller seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
