A St. Clair County woman claims she suffered injuries to her head, neck, shoulder, back, pelvis, right arm and right leg during a collision.
Sarah E. Thompson filed a lawsuit through her mother, Debra A. Thompson, on July 14 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Abigail L. Oulvey and Gregory Ryan Hoffman.
Sarah Thompson claims she rode in a vehicle Oulvey attempted to drive across Weber Road in O'Fallon on March 30 at about 3:11 p.m. when Hoffman, who drove south on Weber Road, struck the vehicle Oulvey drove.
In addition to her injuries, Sarah Thompson incurred medical costs and has been prevented from engaging in her normal activities, according to the complaint.
She blames Oulvey and Hoffman for negligently driving too fast, for failing to maintain control of her vehicle, for failing to exercise reasonable care, for failing to keep a proper lookout, for failing to take steps to avoid a collision and for failing to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic.
In her two-count suit, Thompson is seeking a judgment of more than $100,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.
Dennis J. Barton III of The Barton Law Group in St. Louis will be representing her.
