A Premier Care employee has filed suit against an Alton hospital, alleging he sustained injuries to his neck and back after falling while lifting a patient.
Jeffrey Shelton claims he was working at defendant Alton Memorial Hospital on Feb. 17, 2009, when he attempted to lift a patient and fell.
In addition to his neck and back injuries, Shelton experienced pain, suffering and disability; incurred medical costs; and lost wages, according to the complaint.
Shelton blames the hospital for negligence, but does not specify how the hospital was negligent.
In his complaint, Shelton is seeking an unspecified judgment, plus costs.
