The father of two minor girls has filed suit against the driver who he claims struck their vehicle at an intersection.
Joshua Lemond claims he was driving south on Professional Drive approaching its intersection with College Avenue in Alton on June 15, 2009. Joshua Lemond's two daughters -- Kelli Lemond and Caitlin Lemond -- rode as passengers in his vehicle at the time, according to the complaint filed June 1 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Suddenly, a vehicle driven by defendant Jean E. Frillman, who was driving west on College Avenue, struck the side of their vehicle, the suit states.
Because of the accident, the Lemonds incurred medical bills and experienced pain and suffering, the complaint says.
The Lemonds blame Frillman for causing the collision, saying she drove too fast, failed to maintain control of her vehicle, disobeyed a red light, failed to yield the right-of-way and disobeyed other traffic signs.
They are seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Charles W. Armbruster and Michael T. Blotevogel of Armbruster, Dripps, Winterscheidt and Blotevogel in Alton will be representing them.
Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-578.
