A suit stemming from a malfunctioning Alton traffic signal that caused a car accident has settled.
The case had been set for trial Monday.
Plaintiff Denise Weiser and the city of Alton settled for an undisclosed amount in April.
Madison County Circuit Judge Dennis Ruth will hold a hearing to adjudicate liens in the case June 25 at 9 a.m.
Weiser sued Alton and Peter Puetzman for injuries she suffered when Puetzman's car hit hers at an Alton intersection where she alleges a traffic light was mis-signalling.
According to her complaint, the signal allegedly showed green for one lane of traffic while showing a flashing red, rather than a full red to the crossing traffic lane.
Weiser's suit sought damages in excess of $100,000 and costs.
Puetzman settled his case with Weiser in January 2009 for $20,000.
Puetzman had also filed a claim for contribution against Alton.
Monday's trial would have begun at 9 a.m.
The suit settled April 28.
Weiser is represented by Bradford Hunt.
The city is represented by Kevin Blaine.
Puetzman was represented by Daniel Bradley.
The case had been assigned to then Madison County Circuit Judge Nicholas Byron.
The case is Madison case number 07-L-083.
