American Express has filed suit against the Illinois corporation that it claims failed to pay more than $80,000 in credit card debt.
American Express claims Bradley Austin Michael and Diamond Mineral Springs held an American Express Business Platinum card and charged items to its account.
According to the complaint filed April 15 in Madison County Circuit Court, Michael and Diamond Mineral Springs defaulted on their credit card payments, and American Express demanded the money to no avail.
"By reason of the foregoing, American Express Bank, is entitled to judgment against Defendants to an outside attorney for collection, and thus it is entitled to collect from Defendants reasonable attorneys' fees," the suit states.
In addition to the money it says it is owed, American Express is seeking attorney's fees, pre-judgment interest, late fees, costs and other relief the court deems just.
Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-424.
