A St. Clair County man has filed suit against two drivers who he says caused a multi-car collision.
Chester Reever claims he was driving east on Ashland Avenue near its intersection with Countryside in Fairview Heights on April 19, 2008, when defendant Christopher Bugg collided with the rear of defendant Diana Schmidt's vehicle, causing her to rear-end Reever.
Because of the collision, Reever sustained injuries to his low back and right shoulder, suffered pain and incurred medical costs of $25,893.06, according to the complaint filed March 11 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Bugg and Schmidt negligently drove too fast, failed to keep a proper lookout ahead and failed to give warning of the impending collision, the suit states.
In his two-count complaint, Reever is seeking a judgment of more than $100,000, plus costs.
Ronald Caimi of Brown and Crouppen in St. Louis will be representing him.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-119.
