Inez F. Moss and Cody A. Schubert have filed a complaint against the driver who they say struck an ambulance in which they were riding.
Moss and Schubert claim they were passengers in an ambulance Kevin L. Wimersloge was driving south on Illinois Route 111 near its intersection with School House Road in Pontoon Beach on Jan. 7 when defendant Dorothy J. Covington-Robinson struck them.
Because of the accident, Moss and Schubert sustained injuries, suffered pain and experienced permanent disability, according to the complaint filed Feb. 5 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Covington-Robinson negligently drove too fast, failed to drive on the right side of the road, failed to keep her truck under control and failed to stop or swerve to avoid a collision, the suit states.
In the two-count complaint, Moss and Schubert are seeking a judgment of more than $100,000, plus costs.
Brad L. Badgley of Belleville will be representing them.
