The driver of a 2003 Ford claims a man carelessly hit her vehicle, allegedly causing her to sustain head, neck, back, shoulder, arm and leg injuries.
Olga Lightle filed a lawsuit Jan. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Anthony L. Clay.
Lightle claims she drove on O'Fallon Troy Road at its intersection with Hearstone in St. Clair County on Jan. 22, 2008, when Clay struck her vehicle.
Because of the accident, in addition to her injuries, Lightle incurred medical costs of more than $50,000 and lost income, according to the complaint.
She blames Clay for causing the accident, saying he negligently failed to yield, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to reduce his speed to avoid a collision and used the improper lane.
Lightle seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.
Ronald D. Robinson of Evans and Dixon in St. Louis will be representing her.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-21.
