An Arnold, Mo. man is suing Woodlands Golf Club of Alton over injuries he sustained after playing nine holes of golf.
Chadrick Atkins filed suit Jan. 19 in Madison County Circuit Court claiming he injured his right foot after he fell on a step outside the clubhouse on June 19.
Atkins claims the wooden steps made of railroad ties were in disrepair.
"Defendant knew of or should have discovered the existence of said condition and the unreasonable risk of harm that the poorly maintained wooden steps posed to Plaintiff as invitee," the complaint states.
His injuries included a severe sprain, torn muscles and a torn tendon which necessitated extensive medical treatment and physical therapy, the complaint states.
