Technology upgrades completed in Madison's courtrooms, presentation set Dec. 4

The technology upgrades that have had some of Madison County's judges bouncing from courtroom to courtroom are done, according to a press release sent out Wednesday by Chief Judge Ann Callis' office.

The public and press are invited to a presentation on the new equipment along with the county's Judiciary Committee Dec. 4 at 9:15 a.m.

The tech upgrades included sound systems, drop down display screens, document cameras and new projectors. The goal of the project had been to increase the digital capabilities of the courtrooms to aid both attorneys and pro se litigants.

The county's judges, bailiffs, and Chief Judge's staff were trained on the new equipment. According to the release, the equipment has already been used in trials that have taken place.

The Judiciary Committee, public and press are invited to a presentation of the equipment in courtroom 302.
