Capital One claims a woman has failed to reimburse it more than $50,000 for a car she financed through the company.
Capital One Auto Finance Inc. filed suit Oct. 30 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Tifford Shields.
Capital One claims Shields entered into a retail installment contract to buy an automobile for $50,137.43.
However, Shields has paid no money toward the contract and now owes Capital One $50,487.43, according to the complaint.
In addition to the money it says it is due, Capital One is seeking costs.
