The scheduled trial of a negligence suit against Wildfire Restaurant and the company that owns it is off. The suit settled in late August. The trial had been scheduled to open before Madison County Circuit Judge Daniel Stack at 9 a.m. Monday.
The parties in the suit filed the stipulation for dismissal in July. Stack approved it in an Aug. 26 order.
The complaint and details of the settlement were not available in court records Thursday.
Plaintiff Carol Little was represented by Robert Edmonds of Alton in the suit.
Wildfire Restaurant was represented by David Hesi of St. Louis as was its owner, Burger King Restaurant.
Defendant Aramark Uniform & Apparel Inc. was represented by Kristi Pfotenhauer of St. Louis.
The case is Madison case number 05-L-1135.
