Attorney Gerard T. Noce, partner with the firm of HeplerBroom, was a faculty member at the 2009 International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy.
The Academy is a program for developing defense trial advocacy skills. The faculty consists of 15 IADC members who are leading defense trial lawyers selected from different regions of the country.
IADC membership is a select privilege, and the association's approximately 2,500 members represent lawyers who are in the courtroom advocating for clients across the world.
Trial Academy faculty members volunteer hundreds of hours to prepare the best trial practice program possible, and they are dedicated to being teachers and mentors to each year's select group of 105 Trial Academy attendees.
This year marked the 37th year for the Trial Academy which was held the last week in July at Stanford Law School in Stanford, Calif.
Noce has tried more than 130 jury cases to verdict in courts throughout Missouri.
He is listed in Best Lawyers of America (2001 – present) and Missouri Super Lawyers (2006-present). He was president of the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers (2000) and is the current president of his local chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
He served as the Missouri representative to Defense Research Institute (1999-2002).
Noce has testified before the United States Senate Commerce Committee and the Missouri House Judiciary Committee. He has been elected by the Missouri Bar members to the Missouri Judicial Commission.
Noce served as an instructor for the 2008 Missouri Bar Judicial College.
