A man has sued a 2008 Ford Mustang driver, alleging he was thrown with great force within his vehicle after a collision.
Phillip E. Wilhelm filed a lawsuit Aug. 14 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Glenn G. Greene III.
Wilhelm claims he was driving a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee east on Illinois Route 161 on Feb. 4 and was approaching Illinois Route 158 in Shiloh Valley Township when Greene, who was driving west on the same road, hit him.
Because of the accident, Wilhelm suffered great pain and anguish, was hindered from preventing money he otherwise would have earned and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint.
He blames Greene for driving with a disregard for the safety of others around him, for driving too fast for traffic conditions and for failing to maintain a proper lookout.
Wilhelm is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Randall P. Steele of Steele Law Offices in Glen Carbon will be representing him.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-429.
