A woman is suing Road Ranger over her alleged wrongful termination in retaliation for her filing of workers' compensation.
Karen Masulla filed a lawsuit April 23 in Madison County Circuit Court against Road Ranger, which is also known as Repco.
Masulla says she was working for the company in East Alton on May 13 when she was injured.
She filed for workers' compensation and was subsequently terminated on May 23, exactly one year after she had been hired, according to court documents.
Because of her discharge, Masulla says she has lost wages, benefits, raises and promotions, has incurred costs and has suffered humiliation and mental distress.
She is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.
Lance R. Mallon and Dawna M. Hale of Mallon Law Firm in Wood River will be representing her.
Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-419.
