Woman claims car salesman sexually harassed her

A Madison County woman is seeking more than $300,000 over a salesman's alleged sexual harassment while she was attempting to buy a car from him.

On March 17, Brittany Gresham filed suit in Madison County Circuit Court against Brian G. Trust and the car dealership he owns, Trust Family Autos.

Gresham maintains she went to Autos in Godfrey to purchase an automobile on Feb. 28 and dealt with Trust while there.

After Gresham selected a vehicle to purchase, Trust suggested they go to his office to prepare and sign paperwork, the complaint says.

While in his office, Trust allegedly made several lewd and obscene comments to Gresham and flashed "extremely graphic pornography" on his computer screen, according to the suit.

Gresham began to object to Trust's comments and display when she noticed Trust was groping his genitals inside his pants, she claims.

Immediately, she stood up and attempted to leave the office, her lawyer, Thomas G. Maag of Wendler Law in Edwardsville, wrote in the suit.

The suit claims Trust blocked the door to prevent Gresham from leaving. The suit also claims Trent exposed himself.

In addition to the more than $300,000 worth of compensatory and punitive damages Gresham is seeking, she is asking for costs and other relief the court deems appropriate.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0268.
